Happy Sunday! We're sharing the first installment of our "Your Week Sorted" series.

This week we’re doing something a little different. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing my favorite weekly meal prep trick - plus weekly grocery shopping and meal prep recommendations.

Your Week Sorted

As a chef and a dad, the number one question people ask me is how I shop for the week of cooking ahead. With little ones at home, it’s extra important to me that I always have ingredients at my fingertips to make well balanced meals. I’ve developed a rule of thumb for grocery shopping for the week that lets me rest easy when it comes to covering all these bases. I call it 5-4-3-2-1. You can learn more about it below.
We’ve also partnered with Organic Valley to provide recommendations for the dairy items in our shopping lists. We greatly admire their work to protect over 400,000 acres of organic farmland.

This week’s shopping list

  • 5 x Veggies: Purple Cabbage, Spinach, Carrots, Cilantro, Red Bell Pepper

  • 4 x Proteins: Whole Chicken, Black Beans, Pinto Beans, Firm Tofu

  • 3 x Fruits: Avocado, Mango, Pineapple

  • 2 x Carbs: Tortilla Chips, Rice

  • 1 x Dairy: Mexican Blend Cheese
