Tres Leches Cake with Strawberry Compote
Hey friends,
It’s that magical time when strawberries are at their sweetest at the tail end of the season. I love heading out to pick them fresh, still warm from the sun. And this week, we’re putting some berries to delicious use with an Ecuadorian Tres Leches Cake topped with a homemade strawberry compote.
A tender sponge soaked in three kinds of milk, finished with fluffy meringue and spoonfuls of jammy strawberries. And if you don’t have strawberries on hand, any berries will work! It’s simple, comforting, and the perfect way to share the taste of summer with friends and family.
Head to YouTube for the full class replay, where Chef Alex breaks down the technique and shares the story behind this dish. It’s worth a watch!
