This Corn Drink Is a Hug in a Mug
Happy Sunday! Every Sunday we share a recipe so you can cook along with us.
Sunday Dinner
Atol de Elote
Hey friends,
This week we’re making Atol de Elote. If you’ve never had it, it’s a creamy, comforting drink made from corn, milk, and cinnamon. It’s one of those recipes that feels like a hug in a mug. This pre-Hispanic Mesoamerican beverage has been loved across Latin America for generations. More than a drink, it’s a story passed down through generations
This recipe comes from Nuestros Sabores, a free cookbook celebrating Latino and Hispanic flavors created by Dairy MAX and Latinos and Hispanics in Dietetics and Nutrition (LAHIDAN). Inside, you’ll find 28 authentic recipes written by dietitians who mix culture, family, and nourishment in every dish. You can download the e-book for free and we even did a cookbook unboxing if you want a sneak peek, check it out here!
