Happy Sunday! No classes this week! We're sharing a roundup of our team’s favorite holiday recipes.
Hey friends,
Happy Holidays! This is the time of the year when the house is full, the oven is always on, and there’s always something simmering on the stove. It’s my favorite season to cook: the recipes feel a little more meaningful, the table a little louder, and the food a little more forgiving.
Over the years at Homemade, we’ve cooked a lot: live classes, recipe tests, messy kitchens, and many, many bites taken “just to be sure.” Along the way, these holiday recipes have truly stuck with us.
So this week, we’re sharing something special: a roundup of some of our staff’s all-time favorite Homemade holiday recipes. These are the cozy, festive dishes we come back to year after year. Take a look below, try one (or a few), and let us know what you loved cooking most this year.
We’re taking a short pause this week to recharge and get ready for a busy, delicious year ahead. We can’t wait to be back in January with more recipes, more classes, and more cooking together.

Our Homemade Holiday Staff Picks
Clementine Upside Down Cake

“I love how beautiful and fresh this recipe turns out for a holiday dessert! This has everyone saying “Wow!” which is the best feeling.” - Remy
Wild Mushroom Pot Pie

“There is nothing I love more than a pot pie for my family - It is cozy, happy and filled with mushroomy love - I appreciate that this version does not have meat in it but you can add it if you want it! Versatile & flexible… this recipe makes you feel super skilled because you make your own crust!” - Kaarina
Cheddar Arancini with Parsley Almond Pesto

“Learned about these in Sicily, when I went to cooking school in Italy. I ate so much I got sick, but not sick enough to not serve them every holiday season. They are the perfect hors d’oeuvre.” - Joel
Dark Chocolate Cranberry Tart

“I have such a sweet tooth, and this recipe hits the spot. It feels elegant and festive, the natural color from the cranberries is stunning, and their tartness pairs perfectly with the richness of the chocolate.” - Anna
After-Dinner Nightcaps

“Holiday night-caps FTW!” - Lauren
Mini Sticky Toffee Puddings

“The holiday classic that I did NOT grow up with, but blew me away when I first tried it at a restaurant I was working at in Philadelphia. It just doesn’t get better than the combo of soft warm cake, salty toffee sauce, and creamy cold creme anglaise.” - Meg
